How It Works

After basic setup, Quick Text is easy to use. You create quick text messages in the quick text object. After entering a good identifiable name, you may choose which object to relate this quick text to. This allows you to merge fields from that object into your quick text. All that you do is categorize your quick texts and identify which channels that you would like to make them available through.

Once quick texts have been created, users can access those quick texts in all the places that you specify.

Other Things to Know

  • When merge fields don’t apply to the record you’re working with, the merge field resolves blank.
  • In Chat, you can only use merge fields for the following objects: case, contact, and lead.
  • You can’t use merge fields in quick text for Lightning Knowledge.
  • Merge fields only resolve in the Email global action when you’re on a record page.
